Mill DRO - Part 2
Переглядів 32 тис.6 років тому
The video gives the impression that after reinstalling the scale at 2:50 goes magically back to zero without any further adjustment. In reality, I've spent almost an hour fine tuning each side. ER25 Hex Collet Block

Unfortunately, as far it concerns the eccentricity thinks are not so good. I'm out for about 0.15mm or more (~ 6 thous). I can still work with that for now, but as a few guys point out in the comments, making first the hex and then the lathe work would be a better approach. What's in the gray box? No info of how you connected the scales to the DRO.
Bin auch gerade dabei auf CNC umzubauen, verrätst Du was Für ein Motor das ist ?

Awesome idea !
Hi I need help what does Yn" mean on a lathe chart? I saw a lathe feedrate chart and at the bottom it had a ( symbol of two triangles and two lines coming out from the top of the triangles and an arrow between them ) and a written Yn" above it. What does it mean?
Awesome to see you again.....
Hello my friend. Glad to hear from you!
Dang! It's the first video since I subscribed!
Great work as usual. Good to see you back.
Great!
Good to see you making videos again welcome back ❤
Nice, i like this Conversion. Maybe i make this to my Mill (i hope so). Thank you Michael from Germany
Once my favorite channel, because of which i bought myself a similar turning and milling!😊
hello sir, i watch your videos with great admiration. Could you please make a video explaining how you made the place where the vise is and how to assemble it.
The chart is requisted
That was friggn annoyin
Nice job, Thanks
Optimum are made china with Germans design. The quality are not good but its ok to start learning. For me if you find it second hand very very cheap its ok.
Beautiful, well made part. Very nice. There is one more thing that needs to be done, though. Place the block horizontally on a known flat surface and measure the height of the taper with a Dial Test Indicator. Rotate and check each flat to ensure that the taper is concentric. Thanks for the video.
This silent garbage sucks........outta here😣😣😣😣😣😣
It's extremely boring without you narrating.
nice video. i love calibration using dial part.
Hi, how Did you understand that the guides were swirled and not bended?
Quality work with hobby lathe and mill. Pleasure to watch
just found your video thank you. im very impressed with your skill, i have import blocks and they are no where close to your block thanks
Cómo se puede adquirirlo?? Torno que muestran en el videoque
I bet there is a lot more you could teach if you were a talker lol.. I need details, procedures, tips, material types, angles etc.. thought about getting a job in aachine shop temporarily just to learn the basics lol
This expaines nothing.
There is no doubt that you are a professional at work. But please share with us the details of the caustic dye (the materials used and their quantities) so that we can benefit from the video. thank you
can yoy provide drawing of this ?? i want to make this

Putting the collet on an arbor to dial in the compound is awesome idea.
What is the dovetail depth measure and angle you use?
5mm the depth and 60° the angle.
@@Optimumd180 Thanks.
What is the device model?
Comprei um torno mecânico desse também?estou esperando chegar (ansioso)
Am sure it wont be very accurate using manual protractor but hey, beats buying for sure. If you had angle blocks, you could dial in better angle.
Hi. I think you need to take some time and take a quick tour of Stodoys website to find out how to do this.
Não era mais fácil usar um sextavado?
What's the limit in terms of DOC and feed of the bf20 mill you are using ?
Great work. Hope you're going to do more.
Hi, nice video! I have a similar mill, the BF20, and I'm thinking to use the 2 threaded holes on the left side of the base to mount the Y axis bar. Is there any reason why you decided to fix the sensor on the base and the bar on the moving part? I'm thinking to do the opposite as I saw in many other video but after looking at your solutions which seems easier I'm not sure which is the best way. Which length did you cut the Y axis bar? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks
Hi, thank you! I'm using a lot of cutting fluid often and that was the only reasonable way, in my mind at least to protect the bar from it. The other way is easier I believe. The Y axis bar was 30cm long, more than enough and I didn't cut it. Hope that helps a bit...
@@Optimumd180 Thanks a lot!
Please send us more videos
Hi, i have almost the same lathe (different brand Craft 2140V) do you have a user manual for your machine?
Yes, I do... Scroll down a bit on the following page.. minilathe.net/download/
Excellent work
Where is this lathe made please?
description? of this vid? That what its for.
Please tell me what lathe you have, I would like to buy one and your lathe looks great. nice work. thank you
Cranks at 180 degrees seems way off to me as all the steam engines I have ever seen the crank pins are at 45 degrees .
Since Steam Pistons are double acting, with power delivered in both directions, an crank offset of 90 degrees would work best for constant power delivery
